According to a recently submitted permit application, a new concept, Khatan Sushi, is coming to Oakland.

Taking over the former Elephant Sushi spot at 352 14th Street, the eatery will land near establishments such as Kamdesh Afghan Cuisine, Maya Halal Taqueria, and The Kon-Tiki.

The restaurant’s owner, Gabriele Modica, tells What Now San Francisco that Khatan Sushi will offer a classic Japanese menu that consists of appetizers, sushi, tempura, hot entrees, dumplings, and desserts including a matcha tres leche.

Once in operation, the restaurant will be open from 11:30 am to 3 pm from Monday to Friday and from 5 pm to 10 pm from Monday to Saturday. Catering will also be offered.

Khatan Sushi is slated to open in Early October. Stay tuned for updates.
