Rumors have been posted online in a number of forums that an outpost of H Mart, the extremely popular chain of Korean supermarkets, is in the works for Las Vegas. Recently submitted building permit paperwork appears to confirm these rumors. The paperwork shows plans for an H Mart at 2620 S Decatur Blvd. The space was formerly occupied by Savers. The contract valuation listed on the permit documents is $2 million.

“For over 30 years, Hmart has worked its best to provide quality Korean food and service to communities throughout the U.S.,” reads a message from Founder and CEO Il Yeon Kwon on the brand’s website.

The location is part of a shopping center called Sahara Pavilion South. It is home to retailers like DollarPlus Discount Center and Four Guys Smoke Shop, along with eateries like Chipotle Mexican Grill and Oiga Mire Vea Colombian Cuisine and Latin NightClub.

What Now was unable to reach a representative of H Mart for comment on Monday. No opening timeline has been announced for a Las Vegas H Mart.

“We have always supported the development of new communities with each Grand Opening,” continues the CEO’s message. “In doing so, we continue to do our best to establish ourselves as a company that reaches out with a helping hand. As we expand, we like to think that we are reinventing the way people eat through our robust and unique food culture that also promotes a rich and healthy lifestyle to all.”
