News is starting to trickle in regarding dining options at the forthcoming revitalized Dana Point Harbor. An Alcohol License has been filed for a concept called Tale of the Whale at 25300 Dana Point Harbor Dr.

The concession will be operated by Guest Services, a hospitality giant that’s been at it for over a hundred years. Currently under the leadership of CEO Nico Foris, Guest Services has a nation wide presence, with projects in lodging, outdoor recreation, and other spaces in addition to food and beverage operations.

While the group wasn’t able to share much information at this time about the nature of the exact concept for Tale of the Whale, or the extent of their involvement at the Dana Point Harbor, we can report the restaurant will feature a walk-up fast casual approach and will serve beer and wine in addition to food options that, if we were to guess from the name and location, might tend toward seafood forward offerings.

Spearheaded by developers Burnham-Ward Properties, the total overhaul of the Dana Point Harbor promises to feature some exciting new dining options including multiple rooftop bars and two hotels, which will replace the current Marina Inn.
