Restaurant takes steps toward converting shoe retailer’s space.

UPDATE (Nov., 6, 2012): East Paces Tavern (formerly Abbadabba’s) to reopen as Aspen Bartini

East Paces Tavern, a restaurant serving Mexican and southern California fare, is opening in Buckhead.

The tavern will replace the now shuttered Abbadabba’s, a shoe retailer at 322 East Paces Ferry Road.

East Paces Tavern filed a building permit with City of Atlanta late last week to convert the retail space to a restaurant. The tavern will spend at least $15,500 converting the space, according to the permit.

We Sell Restaurants represented Amanda Fore, owner of East Paces Tavern, in brooking the deal for the space.

The entire 3,000-square-foot property was listed for sale through Graham and Aurthur for $1.5 million.

Abbadabba’s has another Buckhead store at 4389 Roswell Road, according to its website. Other locations for the shoe retailer include Little 5 Points, Roswell, Gwinnett and Kenesaw.
