According to a recent permit filing, Folly of Man has filed for a new location in Newberg at 18830 NE Williamson Road.
A representative of Folly of Man was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Portland’s request.
While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to the company’s website, Folly of Man currently has a location in Amity. Folly of Man is filed for a full on-premises sales permit under Folly of Man LLC.
Bizapedia states that Folly of Man LLC was incorporated on June 20th, 2023. Tracy Kendall is listed to be behind the business filing.
According to the Folly of Man website, “We are Tracy and Aaron Kendall and we’ve been winemakers in the Willamette Valley for a combined 35 years. We’re excited to announce our new wine brand, Folly of Man.”
“Folly of Man was born out of a belief that the best pinot noir and chardonnay have yet to be produced. The Folly of Man estate is a 48-acre established vineyard in the Eola-Amity AVA. We are working to farm the site with a focus on regenerative agriculture and organic and biodynamic farming principles.”
