The growing national coffee chain Scooter’s Coffee will soon be opening a Lockart location, according to recent public records. The restaurant will be located at 102 S Colorado Street, near the Caldwell County Museum.

The records in question state that construction will consist of a “New Building Kiosk with Drive-thru service”, costing an estimated $350,000.

Founded in Bellevue, Nebraska by Don and Linda Eckles in 1998, Scooter’s defines their guiding principles of success as: “find a great location and stay committed to high-quality drinks, speed of service, and a BIG smile. Scooter’s Coffee is fortunate to have over two decades of success due to its commitment to the original business principles and company core values.”

Like most fast-casual coffee chains, Scooter’s specializes in hot and cold coffee drinks, along with smoothies, juices and a small selection of food such as cookies, muffins, burritos, and sandwiches.

No opening date has been announced.
