Lehigh Valley residents will soon have the opportunity to help their local community while enjoying a delicious, freshly made sandwich. The Ikigai Restaurant Group is preparing to provide an assist to Meals on Wheels when it opens its 22nd Jersey Mike’s location in the Westgate Mall, reports local media outlet WFMZ.

The beloved concept will be bringing its popular sandwiches to 2369 Schoenersville Road later this fall. Representatives from Ikigai Restaurant Group have confirmed with What Now Philadelphia that the hospitality professionals are hoping to open its latest Jersey Mike’s on September 25.

Jersey Mike’s is invested in having a positive impact on the local community. Not content to simply serve superior subs to hungry locals, the chain will be giving back to its new neighborhood immediately by fundraising for Meals on Wheels.

Speaking on behalf of the Ikigai Restaurant Group, marketing director Alexa Monalve states: “We’re so excited to open our new location at Westgate Mall and to give back to the community through our partnership with Meals on Wheels, who provide homebound senior citizens and adults with disabilities with home-delivered meals, grocery shopping and other services. In addition to our grand opening festivities, we are excited to host a fundraiser in partnership with Meals on Wheels.. Customers who receive a special coupon distributed by grassroots efforts can make a minimum $3 contribution to Meals on Wheels in exchange for a free regular sub. Our grand opening celebration is an opportunity to connect with our new neighbors, and we’re grateful for the chance to support such an important cause.”
