Mac’s Ice Cream Garage is coming to the New Smyrna Beach Shopping Center at 1551 S Dixie Fwy. One of the owners, Landon Acosta said they plan to open in two months, maybe three.
Acosta said he does not have a hard date for opening as they are still going through and dealing with the extensive list of city requirements but is excited to hopefully open in the near future.
The ice cream is made fresh daily and the location will include a drive-thru window as well, something not common with ice cream shops, he said.
“The ice cream is all really good,” said Acosta.
Their current menu offers an array of different flavors of ice cream like s’mores, caramel crunch, and malted milk balls. They also offer gelato, with flavors like cherry amaretto, creamsicle, and vanilla chip, as well as Italian ice, where they have cherry, cotton and, root beer, and peach.
1551 S Dixie Fwy used to be home to Kenny’s Liquors, which has since closed down.
