Florida Water Bar is helping Orlando residents and businesses access purified and alkaline water through its bottled water sales, delivery services, and home filtration systems. Owned by Matt and Melissa Hawken, the company operates from 3408 S. Orange Ave., Suite A, and grew from Matt’s professional background in the water utility industry.

After spending 15 years in the field and earning a degree in Water Supply Technology, he recognized an opportunity to serve the local community.

“Seeing the need for a good local water and filtration company in Orlando gave us the idea for the business,” the Hawkens shared. “Our biggest challenge has been educating the public on why they should care about their water, and the most rewarding has been helping those in our community to be healthier,” they added.

For now, the two handle the business themselves, overseeing its operations and serving both residential and commercial customers. Florida Water Bar offers reverse osmosis water, alkaline water, and a selection of water dispensers and containers.

According to the company’s website, its seven-step filtration process includes sediment and carbon filtration, ion exchange conditioning, reverse osmosis, ultraviolet light treatment, and an alkalinity filtration stage that adds select minerals back into the water.

Customers can purchase ultra-purified reverse osmosis water for $0.75 per gallon or alkaline water with a pH of 8.5 and above for $1.75 per gallon. The business also sells water in BPA-free three- and five-gallon containers, glass water jugs, water crocks, dispensers, and water coolers. Home filtration systems and delivery services further expand its offerings.

“Alkaline water is definitely our most popular item. We get all types of customers, from the health-conscious to those with health issues, and even businesses who need a reliable source for clean water — whether for drinking or because it affects their products,” they explained. “Brewing companies, coffee companies, juice companies, and even those with tropical fish tanks are all our clientele.”

The company’s website emphasizes convenience and sustainability alongside water quality, highlighting its refill options and delivery services as ways to help customers reduce plastic waste. Its product selection also gives customers options for storing and dispensing water at home or in a business.

Looking ahead, the Hawkens hope to establish Florida Water Bar as a leading local provider of bottled water and home filtration services, with plans to expand beyond its current location.

“Our goal is to be the primary source for bottled water and home filtration systems in the area, with multiple locations,” they said. “We love what we do, and we love our community!”
