Oksumi Ramen and Bar is coming to 4790 Florida Ave S. at Lake Miriam Square. Owner Xin He Li says he is expecting it to open in November when reached on the phone Wednesday.
Li did not give up much information about any details regarding the opening but did say there is a lot of construction to do on the restaurant before they can open up.
Although there is not a current menu out, due to posted pictures of items it looks like Oksumi’s cuisine will include things like potstickers, edamame, tempura balls, and bao.
Oksumi worked with Cossman and Company to lease out the spot and will be surrounded by other restaurants of many different types like seafood shops, Italian bistros, and steakhouses.
Lake Miriam Square is a bustling center in Lakeland where anyone can come to get food, beer, coffee, wine, or shop at the various outlets.
The Florida Ave S. location was formerly home to a RadioShack which has since ceased operation.
