Fans of Chef Jose Joubert Torres’ Latin fusion sushi can rejoice. Maguro Sushi has opened a brick and mortar restaurant at 1311 Florida Mall Avenue in Orlando.

What started as a ghost kitchen with pick-up and delivery-only options, will now have dine-in seating for guests who come to enjoy Torres’ unique blend of Latin and Asian cuisine.

Featuring a sushi bar, sushi rolls and tapas, Torres’ signature ingredient is maduros, which are ripe plantains, a common component in Latin cooking.

Desserts, ice cream and sorbet, as well as a variety of teas are on the menu. The restaurant’s website advises that wine, beer and sake will be served beginning at a later date.
