Zaza New Cuban Diner will open its newest location at 1351 Alafaya Trail in Oviedo, according to the Orlando Business Journal. A third generation family-owned business, Owner Ruben Perez has successfully turned his family’s restaurant concept into a corporate-owned operation with locations across Central Florida.
Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Zaza’s menu includes egg sandwiches, omelettes, and guava pastries, which are made from puff pastry and filled with guava jelly.
The Cubano sandwich features fresh roast pork, deli ham, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles on toasted Cuban bread. Zaza also offers soups, salads and more, as well as Café Zaza, which serves the brand’s own locally roasted blends, which can also be purchased by the bag.
While the Perez family has been dishing up Cuban American Comfort Food since 1981, they opened their first Zaza New Cuban Diner restaurant in 2013. They have locations in Altamonte Springs, Curry Ford, Lake Mary, Waterford Lakes, and at the Orlando International Airport, with plans for an additional three locations before the end of 2021.
With catering options and a strong take-out business, Zaza has thrived during the pandemic when many other restaurants have had to close their doors. Formerly Burgerim hamburger restaurant, the 2,000 square-foot Oviedo location is expected to open in October 2021.
