A new Island Fin Poke restaurant will open in Royal Oaks Plaza at 15400 NW 155th St. in Miami Lakes. According to their website, Island Fin Poke “serves incredible Hawaiian-style poke, served in a cool-casual environment.”
Island Fin Poke restaurants serve build-your-own bowls that include a choice of rice or spring mix greens, a choice of fresh protein like Ahi tuna or salmon, a choice of mix-ins like edamame and corn, a choice of a marinating sauce and a choice of final toppings like cucumber and chili flakes. What Now Miami spoke with owner Steven Kretsch over the phone about his new restaurant. Kretsch explained that a deal for a restaurant in Boca Raton recently fell through but he is in the process of “finalizing a deal in Miami Lakes which will be part of a larger development program in South Florida.” Kretsch says that there will be two more Island Fin Poke restaurants coming to the Miami area in the future.
