A new health-food bar and bakery called Rut will be opening at 1244 SW. 57th Ave. in West Miami. Owner Janko Veres says that the restaurant will offer “the healthy version of the most popular foods.”
He says the bakery and bar will serve “takeaway foods” like gluten-free muffins, high protein croissants, gluten-free cakes, and “homemade spreads for their homemade bread.” Their drink options include “protein coffee made with special Brazilian coffee beans” and “refresher beverages” made from fresh fruit. Most of their bakery options will be made with healthier alternatives to white sugar like “Stevia, cane sugar and honey.”
Veres says that the bar and bakery will only have a few tables inside since the idea is quick service and foods on-the-go. A plan review was filed online for the location and it is expected to open in a couple months if construction goes as planned. There is currently no website or social media pages up for the restaurant, but those in the Miami area should be on the lookout for this new spot.
