With 22 locations currently operating in Florida, acai bowl (and more) chain Playa Bowls is preparing to increase its South Florida footprint with three new locations in North Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Plantation.

“Leading up to each opening, we’re going to do seven days of giveaways of gift cards and other gifts donated by the local community,” franchisee Ricky Arguello told What Now on Friday. “We usually have a DJ and do a little vendor market, and we’ll also give away free bowls to the first 100 customers.”

The North Miami location is opening soon at 14881 Biscayne Blvd., with the Fort Lauderdale location to open at 401 E Las Olas Blvd, Unit 185 in January. A third location is to follow in Plantation.

Playa’s healthy bowls are made with bases like açai, pitaya, coconut, chia pudding, and more. They come in varieties like Pura Vida (Pure acai topped with granola, blueberry, strawberry, honey), Hemp (Kale blend topped with granola, banana, blueberry, hemp seeds, agave), and Pink Power (Pitaya blend with vanilla protein topped with granola, banana, honey).
