A cherished cupcake chain, Misha’s Cupcakes, announced its closure on social media. While the brand is closing all of its storefronts, Misha’s products will be available at several Miami stores, including Clementine Wine Gourmet in Coral Gables.
Miami’s Misha’s Cupcakes Says Goodbye
Founded by Miami native Misha Kuryla, Misha’s Cupcakes began its journey in 2005 from her home kitchen. Kuryla opened a kiosk at Dadeland Mall in 2007 and the company’s first brick-and-mortar store in Coral Gables in 2008.
The company grew from a home-based business into a bakery brand selling cupcakes, cakes, and other baked goods across South Florida. The brand spanned the nation and opened multiple locations. After more than two decades of operations in Miami, the owner of Misha’s Cupcakes confirmed the closure.
In a very candid video message on social media, the owner said, “Misha’s Cupcakes is signing off.” She thanked the Miami community for support and said, “I’m so grateful for every moment I shared with you and every cupcake that brightened your day — thank you for this incredible journey.”
Kuryla did not provide a specific closing date but said the storefronts would remain open through the end of October.

The Brand Plans to Close Stores and Focus on Online Sales
According to a Miami New Times report, Misha Kuryla opened a flagship bakery in the former Swensen’s location in Coral Gables in 2024. The London Square store and the flagship bakery were closed in December 2025 and May 2026, respectively.
After closing the flagship bakery, Kuryla opened a pop-up in Coral Gables. As per a previous Instagram post, the brand is planning to close all USA locations and will focus on expanding its online presence and growing its wholesale business.
Customers will still be able to buy Misha’s Cupcakes products through select retail partners and online. Misha’s products will be available at local South Florida grocery partners, including Coral Gables’ Clementine Wine Gourmet. The brand will also deliver nationwide with Goldbelly.
Kuryla encouraged customers to visit before the remaining storefronts close at the end of October.
