A new restaurant will bring together accessible chef-driven eats with a nightlife atmosphere in Wynwood this winter. Opening at 3401 N Miami Ave., Avenue Miami will offer a menu crafted by Chef Brett Portier, craft cocktails, and lots of music.
“We’re going to have DJs spinning and performing three nights a week,” Ashley Sosner, the restaurateur behind Avenue, told What Now on Tuesday. Sosner has worked in partnership with celebrity chef Todd English (under whom Chef Portier honed his own culinary chops), opening restaurants all over the country. “It’s going to be the place to go in Miami on Wednesday nights.”
The two-story restaurant and lounge will feature bar seating with a great view of an open kitchen. With seating for about fifty, the restaurant’s menu will feature touches of both fine dining and more casual fare, ranging from Miso-Glazed Sea Bass (Sosner’s favorite thing on the menu) to pulled pork sandwiches and juicy burgers. Expect a nimbleness to the food offerings, with Italian-inspired fare like Chicken Parm and Bolognese served up as readily as a rack of ribs.
“The club is upstairs,” said Sosner, “and the downstairs area will also transform at night. You can have a nice dinner where the music is not blaring, and the lights go down, the music comes up, and there’s dancing.”
Keep an eye out for Avenue, opening soon on North Miami Avenue.
