It’s official: the long-awaited South Florida debut of New York-born dumpling brand Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is set for Summer 2024, according to coverage by the Miami New Times. The chain’s first South Florida location will open at MiamiCentral station, a “six-block leisure, dining, and transportation hub” planned for downtown Miami.
Brooklyn Dumpling Shop offers an astonishing variety of dumplings, with flavors taken from all over the world. There are traditional flavors like Chicken Teriyaki Potstickers and Shrimp and Vegetable Shumai, but this is only the beginning. Brooklyn Dumpling Shop has also served up Bacon Cheeseburger dumplings, Buffalo Ranch Chicken dumplings, Gyro dumplings, Maryland Crab dumplings, and many more.
The wild success of the brand’s launch coincided with the onsite of the COVID-19 pandemic era, which may be no coincidence. The brand’s ordering process is completely automated and contactless, with guests placing orders on a screen before picking up finished dumplings from lockers.
After the summer launch at MiamiCentral station, the New Times coverage notes, another location is shown as “coming soon,” on the brand’s website. What Now reached out this week to Voytek Faber, the franchisee behind Brooklyn Dumpling Shop’s Miami and Orlando locations, to ask about plans for this subsequent location. Faber was not immediately available for comment.
