At Frenchie Pizza, the newest concept from Buschtetz Family Restaurant Group, you will find not just your typical American-style pizza pie. The pizza being slung at Frenchie’s is of two varieties, the second being ‘an artisan non-leavened pizza, Flammekeuche, originating in Alsace on the French-German border.’

According to the company’s website, “Frenchie Pizza, a new fast casual concept in Gilbert, offers traditional thin-crust American pizza along with flammekueche — “flammes” for short — which are a specialty from the Alsace region on the border of France and Germany made with an unleavened crispy flatbread.”

The pizzeria even serves up sweet flammes in flavor profiles like apple with salted caramel and roasted almonds and strawberry with cream cheese frosting.

Frenchie celebrated its grand opening on July 8th and is currently available for dine-in and grab-and-go service. Their website indicates online ordering will soon be available. Oh, and if you head over to their spacious patio with your Frenchie (the bulldog that is) you can get a free flamme.
