If you’re looking for another healthy fast food alternative, look no further than Salad World. The new restaurant will make its debut this year at 8390 W. Cactus Road on the northwest corner with 83rd Avenue in Peoria

Co-owner Dennis Schwarcz is bringing this new concept to Peoria alongside his wife and nephew. He tells What Now Phoenix that they hope to be open by October this year, if all goes according to schedule with current construction.

“We need a healthy alternative to the fast food options we have around here,” he says. Salad World will be a build-your-own salad bar in the style of other restaurants such as Chipotle or Mod Pizza.

There will be around 60 ingredients that customers can choose to customize their salads according to their own liking. “You can have whatever you want for just one price,” Schwarcz says, adding that you can add as many salad fixings as you like and only pay one price for a regular or large salad, with the exception of certain proteins and premium ingredients like avocado, which will be a slight extra charge.

In addition to salads, Salad World will also offer wraps and soups on their menu. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just looking for something lighter to nosh on, Salad World is probably going to be one of your new favorite spots to grab a meal. A website and social media accounts are forthcoming. Stay tuned.

Editor’s Note: This article previously stated that Schwarcz was opening Salad World with his brother, which is incorrect. Schwarcz is opening Salad World with his wife and nephew.
