This week White Castle announced plans to open their second Arizona location. In the first half of 2023, a brand new White Castle complete with the iconic tower will open in south Tempe at 8755 S. Jewel St. off Warner Road at I-10.
The new location will satisfy a craving for an additional White Castle in the Valley following the restaurant’s Scottsdale debut in 2019. Within a year of opening, the Scottsdale location made record sales selling over 4.2 million sliders and 19,000 30-slider Crave Cases, which was more than any other White Castle location in the world.
The Scottsdale restaurant is also the largest White Castle location to date at 4,589-square feet and employing 93 people. The upcoming Tempe restaurant will be approximately 2,800-square feet and create 60 new jobs.
Since its founding in 1921, White Castle remains a family-owned business that owns and operates more than 370 locations worldwide. Their Original Sliders, breakfast items, sides and desserts are served 24 hours a day and seven days a week at most restaurants.
Look out for the new Tempe location at Emerald Center, the property developer behind this new restaurant in cooperation with Kimley-Horn and architect Cuhaci Peterson. For more information, visit www.whitecastle.com.
