Round1 Bowling & Amusement is coming soon to metro Phoenix, Phoenix Business Journal reports. The Japan-based company opened their first Arizona location in Tucson in 2019 and soon, there will be a new location in Glendale by spring 2024.
Round1 is due to go under construction at Arrowhead Towne Center, where it will take over the former Forever 21 store. Round One Entertainment Inc. signed a lease on the 83,114-square foot space at the Glendale mall this summer.
In addition to bowling, this new Round1 location will include the brand’s Sports Challenge, or Spo-Cha, offerings such as basketball, batting cages, trampolines, dodgeball, billiards, ping pong and more. This will be one of the lucky Round1 locations in the nation to offer the Spo-Cha concept. Most Round1 locations are usually outfitted with a bowling alley, as well as a large arcade with Japanese games and vending machines.
“More than ever, people want physical places where they can be together and have fun… Round1 is a perfect entertainment experience that complements the shopping and dining Arrowhead Towne Center offers to our visitors,” Macerich Co. Assistant Vice President of Leasing Jen Brigham told Phoenix Business Journal. Macerich Co. is the company that owns Arrowhead Towne Center.
