Burros & Fries, the popular Mexican chain with one location in Arizona, is getting ready to open a new location in Gilbert at 727 N Higley Rd.

The company’s newest location is currently under construction at the southeast corner of Higley and Guadalupe, according to East Valley Now. Burros & Fries currently has one location in Glendale, with another coming soon to Surprise’s upcoming Village at Prasada. There’s no exact timeline for the company’s third Arizona location, but it’s likely to be sometime early next year. Burros & Fries will sit next to a new Gravity Coffee.

While the majority of Burros & Fries locations are in California, with at least ten sites in the Golden State, the company still has plenty to offer at its sole Arizona site. Once the company expands to three locations in the Valley, customers will see why this Mexican restaurant is growing so quickly. Burros & Fries has something for everyone, from breakfast burros and bowls to tortas, hard shell tacos, quesadillas, and more. The restaurant also offers drinks, desserts, kids’ menus, and more. All of this is the result of owner Fernando Ruiz, who learned everything from his family.

“I was raised learning about the restaurant business since I was ten years old!” according to the company’s website. “My father opened his first Taco Shop in 1974 in San Diego! He taught me all that I know. I came up with my new idea in opening my own brand: Burros & Fries Fresh Mexican Grill! I opened my first restaurant in 2009 in Tijuana, Mexico, Now we have crossed the border opening new locations across San Diego. It has been a great experience growing my business, thanks to all my wonderful customers! Hope you enjoy all that my father has taught me.”
