According to Palo Alto Online, Daly City’s Koi Palace is relocating its flagship location and shifting in a “more casual dining direction.”
Coming to the Serramonte Center shopping mall at 3 Serramonte Center, the eatery will join tenants such as MOD Pizza, Panda Express, and Yoshi Ramen & Sushi.
“The decision to move was due to the additional space, which will allow Koi Palace to host more private parties and banquets,” the Journal reports.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, brothers Willy and Ronny Ng founded the Cantonese seafood restaurant Koi Palace in 1996. In addition to the Daly City spot, Koi Palace currently operates outposts in Dublin and Milpitas.
The menu will remain the same, offering a large selection of dim sum — think pork & vegetable potstickers, steamed barbecue pork buns, and shrimp dumplings — alongside fried noodle and rice plates, steamed seafood dishes, and roasted meat entrees.
What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s co-owners to inquire about their plans for the spot, but they could not provide additional information before publication.
Koi Palace is slated to open in December.
