According to a recently submitted permit application, the national chain The Yard Milkshake Bar is planning to debut a new outpost in Berkeley.
Coming to 2433 Telegraph Avenue, the ice cream shop will land near establishments such as Champion’s Curry, Mezzo, and Noodle Dynasty.
The location’s franchisee, Sree Koneru — who will operate the business alongside his wife Prat Undavalli — tells What Now San Francisco, “It’s my first location and it’s actually my first venture into small business… My wife and I are avid fans of Shark Tank and we came across their pitch.”
For readers who are unfamiliar with the chain, “The Yard Milkshake Bar was created by husband-and-wife team Logan and Chelsea Green… The Yard Milkshake Bar currently has 31 locations across the United States,” according to its website.
On the filing, the business describes itself as “a cold desserts restaurant that provides custom milkshakes, ice creams, and edible cookie dough.”
