Located at 2915 E Las Olas Boulevard for the last four years, La Costa restaurant has been part of the Fort Lauderdale community for much longer. It’s a restaurant that has been “serving the community more than 20 years of delicious hand made fresh Latin cuisine.”
“We have Mexican international cuisine,” Hilda, a co-owner of La Costa, told What Now on Tuesday. “It’s a fusion of Mexican, Honduran, and Cuban, that has been working great. We have a lot of flavors, and everything is fresh, everything prepared that day.”
Now, La Costa is preparing to expand to a new location in North Lauderdale, where submitted plan review documents show an opening in the works at 7210 W McNab Road, on the southwest corner of the intersection with Southwest 71st Avenue.
La Costa’s menu is considerable, ranging from Honduran Specialties like Pollo Chuco (Available in white or dark meat Honduran style fried chicken. Served over fried plantains & our delicious cabbage salad & carrots, topped with fresh onions & cilantro) to Enchiladas, Quesadillas, Tacos served with proteins like shrimp, fish, and chicken, and much more.
The new space will feature seating from 120 guests, with an outdoor patio area to open later that will add seating for another 40.
“We have a lot of customers who know us already and they’ve been asking when we’re opening,” said Hilda, who says a date for the Grand Opening has yet to be announced, but that it’s coming soon and it’s going to be a huge celebration.
“It’s going to be really great time together with the city.”
