A local coffee shop is stepping up to help fill the void left in Asbury Park when a local cafe closed this winter. Offshore Coffee Co. is preparing to open its third location, this time in the space recently vacated by Asbury Park Roastery, reports local media outlet Asbury Park Press.

The coffee shop, helmed by Jack Campbell and Rose MacKay, will be brewing up fresh pots at 803 2nd Avenue. Asbury Park Roastery ceased operations at that location, housed within the Grand Arcade at Convention Hall, on December 29 of last year.

A precise opening date is not currently available for Offshore’s newest storefront, however Campbell tells What Now Philadelphia  the cafe will begin serving guests this spring.

The coffee concept will offer the hot and cold beverage selections discerning java fanatics have come to expect. Guests will be able to choose from espresso drinks, cold brew, matcha, cappuccinos, and lattes, as well as a selection of pastries.

Asbury Park residents eager to sip a cup of Offshore’s joe can stop into one of its existent locations in Long Branch or Belmar.

Owner Campbell explains that Offshore started off with a high-quality product he and MacKay felt confident enough to anchor a business on. He and his team are excited about bringing their exceptional coffee and service to a new neighborhood. He states: “We’re beyond excited to bring our passion for great coffee to the heart of Asbury Park’s iconic boardwalk, inside the historic Convention Hall. This community is vibrant, diverse, and rich in history, and we can’t wait to be a part of it—serving exceptional coffee in a place that means so much to so many.”
