A relatively new taco spot in downtown Memphis has temporarily closed its doors.
Pretty Taco announced its closure via Facebook on January 15, 2025, stating: “Pretty Taco will be temporarily closed. We will keep you updated!”
A reason or timeline for the closure was not provided, and Halsey Werlein, the managing partner at the restaurant, did not respond to inquiries from What Now Memphis.
Pretty Taco opened at 265 S Front St in May of 2023. The eatery is known for its casual, colorful atmosphere and Memphis-themed tacos, including options like the Central BBQ Taco and the SoulBurger Taco from Ernestine & Hazel’s.
