The woman behind a popular charcuterie board business in Arkansas is preparing to open her first brick-and-mortar eatery.
Meagan Arnold, founder of Boxed Up Charcuterie Board Company, will soon unveil a new café at 315 W Huntington Ave, in The Hotel at Huntington Square.
Arnold told What Now Memphis she’s thrilled to join downtown Jonesboro’s “innovative and growing” community. “It’s this fun little area we have,” she said. “I’m excited to be a part of that.”
Since launching Boxed Up in 2021, Arnold has become known for her Instagram-worthy charcuterie boxes, boards, and displays, offering everything from small daily orders to large-scale catering spreads.
“I do lots of big events,” she explained. “All the way from 40 to 250 people. I’ve gone as far as right outside Russellville, Arkansas to the other side of Memphis.”
Her clients range from local organizations like Hytrol Conveyor Company and the Arkansas County Sheriff’s Office to international brands such as Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
And now, Arnold is taking her business to the next level with her very own storefront. In addition to serving breakfast and lunch, the Boxed Up café will provide pre-orders, grab-and-go options, and customizable charcuterie boards priced between $10 and $130.
Boxed Up will also double as a hub for community gatherings. Arnold will collaborate with The Hotel to present weekly classes and events, including charcuterie and bourbon pairings and paint-and-sip nights. Additionally, she plans to host monthly five-course, reservation-only dinners, with limited tickets and curated menus.
Arnold’s connection to The Hotel dates back to her work with Urban Organics, the coffee shop that formerly occupied the Suite A space that Boxed Up is moving into. She developed the menu for the business, and Heather Walker-Clark, who co-owns The Hotel with her husband Mat, has long supported this move.
“[Heather has] been waiting for the opportunity to get me in there,” Arnold noted. “And now it’s time.”
Boxed Up Charcuterie Board Company will celebrate its grand opening in March 2025, initially operating seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. For the latest news, be sure to follow the café on social media, @boxedupcharcuterie.
