55 Seventy, a new wine membership concept, is coming to Dallas in Preston Center.

The club’s target launch date is early 2022, but given the current construction environment it might not open until late Spring.

Located in the heart of Park Cities, the 8,500-square-foot space will feature 4,000 square feet of cellar space, a beautiful champagne bar, a large private dining room, a tasting bar and lounge, and a spacious patio.

Founded by Tommy Shuey, 55 Seventy will feature wine by the glass at retail prices; social events, happy hour, live music, and art experiences; tastings with small-production wineries, BYOB with no corkage fee; access to exclusive highly-allocated wines; wine dinner with chefs; and discounted bottles to take home or enjoy on-site.

Jeffrey Gregory, the club’s operating partner, oversees all day-to-day operations and wine acquisition. Gregory has spent a career in the hospitality and beverage sales industries, leading teams and building award winning wine programs at notable Dallas restaurants including FT33 and The French Room. Most recently, he was a fine wine sales specialist with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.

“First and foremost, we are wine lovers with a passion for sharing great wine with friends and family,” a statement on the brand’s website reads. “After exploring wine clubs in Dallas, we realized there was an opportunity to provide a different type of private wine club with a curated experience, an environment that was comfortable, bright, approachable, community-minded and was centrally located. We also needed a convenient location to store our wine in a climate-controlled cellar.”

While wine is clearly the focus, 55 Seventy will also carry a small selection of beer and ready-to-drink cocktails. A selection of charcuterie, cheese boards, crudité, olives, nuts and other light bites will also be offered. With a full kitchen included in the space, the club has plans to bring in chefs from around the world to host wine dinners and other culinary events for members to enjoy.

According to a recent update, 55 Seventy officially sold out of its Founder’s Club Memberships in less than 10 weeks. They are now currently accepting a limited number of Reserve and Social Members.
