Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is opening a new location by late January or early February 2022 at 2900 Amador Dr in Fort Worth. Across from Alliance Town Center, it will be led by chef Sean Martin and general manager Michy Cruz.
This is the brand’s first location within the Lone Star State and it has been in the works for quite sometime. Ground was first broken in March 2020 and it was originally planned for the restaurant to open by the end of that year.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic caused much of the development and construction to be delayed, but in speaking with What Now Dallas, Firebirds VP of Marketing Stephen Loftis said they’re on track and excited about opening next year.
An official statement from the brand describes Firebirds as an American restaurant and steakhouse known for its scratch kitchen, bold flavors and inviting atmosphere. Signature menu items include hand-cut aged steaks that are cooked over locally sourced woods, fresh seafood, hearty salads, specialty crafted cocktails and select wines.
The 7,157-square-foot Fort Worth location will be an open concept featuring a contemporary design with exposed steel, floor-to-ceiling windows and abstract artwork. It will be open 11 AM to 10 PM on Sundays thru Thursdays and 11 AM to 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Happy Hour, featuring bar bites and drink specials, will be offered in the restaurant’s signature “FIREBAR” and on the patio weekdays from 4 to 7 PM.
For the new restaurant, Firebirds will be hiring on site for all positions starting Dec. 8.
And while Firebirds Fort Worth is the first for Texas, it certainly won’t be the last as the brand is looking to grow its DFW market tremendously. With current commitments to two more locations, Loftis shared that the first is in development for Legacy West Plano and is slated to open in late 2022.
Founded in 2000 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Firebirds operates locations across 20 states and is a proud partner of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
