Jersey Mike’s will be among the first tenants to open in a new Johns Island shopping center.
Maybank Commons, at the corner of Produce Lane and Maybank Highway near River Road, is a new retail development by NAI Charleston. The development is almost 9,000 square feet in total and will hold four retail and restaurant tenants when complete.
Construction permits were approved this week for the upfit of one of those units into a new Jersey Mike’s franchise location. Plans show that the proposed restaurant is 1,362 square feet.
The location will be operated by franchisee Ryan Delman, who owns more than 10 locations in the Charleston area, according to the Charleston Business Journal. An opening date has not been confirmed.
