After nearly two years of serving up leisurely mornings and boozy beverages, Day Drink Brunch Lounge will pour its last mimosa at its original Summerville home at 106 E. Doty Ave this Saturday, March 16.

“Our hosting property has been sold, and we will no longer operate in our current location,” shared owner Jessica Norton via social media. “Given that this is an unexpected close, we can not estimate how long it may take to bring Day Drink back to you. We hope to bring Day Drink back in a bigger and better way in the near future!”

Day Drink is celebrated for its Southern-inspired menu, with options ranging from crab cakes and okra and tomatoes to shrimp and grits and mini waffles. The beverage selection is equally enticing, featuring classic favorites like mimosas alongside more innovative cocktails like the peach cobbler martini.

Norton told What Now Charleston that she’s open to exploring various locations throughout the Charleston area for Day Drink’s next chapter. She stressed the importance of selecting the perfect space to ensure the same exceptional guest experience that Day Drink has become known for.

“I want to be particular about the space I choose now that I know what experience our guests are looking for… I want to find the perfect location for Day Drink to thrive,” said Norton.

Keep an eye out for updates as Day Drink Brunch Lounge continues its search for its new home. In the meantime, stop by this weekend to savor one last drink in the Summerville space, and join in bidding farewell to a cherished locale.
