A Denver French Bakery will make a move a couple of miles from its current location in late summer of 2022. La Fillette Bakery first opened in 2015 and has been serving customers delicious breads, pastries, and sandwiches since that time.
La Fillette Bakery owner Keturah Fleming-Hall said the 1,000 square-foot restaurant at 4416 E. 8th Ave. in Denver had more traffic following COVID. “We’ve just outgrown the space,” Fleming-Hall said. With an increase in rent and a need for more space, Fleming-Hall began to search for a spot that would meet their needs.
They found a larger space at 6217 E. 14th Ave., which will include more interior tables, a patio, and more kitchen space. La Fillette Bakery does not serve alcohol at its current spot, but the new location on E. 14th Ave. will feature a full bar. The addition of espresso will round out the current coffee and cold brew drink menu once the move is complete.
The food menu includes croissants, macarons, baguettes, soft pretzels, sour dough, a variety of sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, and more. La Fillette Bakery is also testing some new menu ideas to add to the brunch selection.
“We’ve been here for seven years. We love the neighborhood. We’re just hoping to add some more options,” Fleming-Hall told What Now Denver. “It will be less than two miles from our current location. So, we’re hoping to get some new clientele and keep our current regulars.” The current location will temporarily close to move everything into the new space sometime in late summer.
“We’re super excited. We’re still in the process of building that space out,” Fleming-Hall said. According to city permitting information, the interior of the new space will undergo renovations including demolition of some walls, the addition of a new bread and food preparation area, and a new bar.
