New city records show that java chain Scooter’s Coffee has plans to build a tiny drive-thru beverage stand. The company submitted a proposal this week to build at 1560 N Academy Blvd.

Documents show that the goal is to construct a 678-square-foot building for drive-thru and walk-up orders. The site is a .64-acre plot on the northwest corner of Palmer Park Blvd. and Academy Blvd.

According to records, The Richardson Design Partnership is the architect for the project and Legacy Design Group is the civil engineer. The owner/developer is listed as Boundless Enterprises, LLC, the parent company of Scooter’s Coffee.

A July 25 letter to the Planning & Community Development department stated, “We feel a convenient drive-thru coffee shop fits into the intent and purpose of this zone and will become a daily staple and frequented often by those in and passing through this area of town.”
