An inspiring new coffee shop is incoming near the Colorado State University campus, leasing records show. Arboretum Coffee will open at 221 W Prospect Rd. in Fort Collins next year.

A lease was executed for the space, a 1,036-square-foot retail shell at the Prospect Station apartments, in November. Cushman & Wakefield was the leasing rep for the deal.

The mission behind Arboretum Coffee, founded by CSU graduate Hannah Norris, is to provide jobs for refugee and immigrant youth to help them integrate into society. The company’s website points out “Northern Colorado lacks sufficient organizations dedicated to addressing the unique needs of this growing population.”

The coffee shop will provide paid apprenticeship opportunities, offering hands-on experience in all aspects of operations, as well as customer service, work culture, financial literacy, and ESL classes.
