The Finch restaurant coming to Downtown

Oysters, half-priced happy hour cocktails, and filet mignon will be served at the restaurant.

The Finch, a new restaurant concept from the minds at Layer Cake, will reportedly open in the spring.

Imran Sheikh, Co-Founder & CEO of the hospitality group Milkshake Concepts is behind the new restaurant. The building will be at 111 10th Ave. S, which used to occupy the Flying Saucer pub.

The menu is slated to have upscale offerings including a raw oyster bar, steak frites, filet mignon, a brunch menu and a variety of cocktails. The first location of The Finch resides in Dallas, where the hospitality group Milkshake is also local to.

Though there is no confirmed grand-opening date yet, the restaurant plans for a first-quarter 2023 launch. Milkshake Concepts also opened the successful “social kitchen” Layer Cake on Lower Broadway last year. The group reportedly has ambitious plans to soon open a steakhouse called Harper’s as well as a Mexican-inspired restaurant called Vidorra in Nashville, as reported by the Nashville Business Journal.

What Now Nashville could not immediately reach Sheikh for a comment.
