Koe Wetzel’s Riot Room will soon be making its Nashville debut, according to recently filed permits. The bar concept based out of Fort Worth, Texas, will replace Dogwood at 1907 Division St. Dogwood closed its doors on May 1 after occupying the space since 2019.

Koe Wetzel, Fred Barnett and Emil Bragdon, the CEO of Texas-based hospitality brand Funky Lime Hospitality, are behind Riot Room. The concept is funky, mixing together music, country, club, restaurant and sports bar elements. The vibe is meant to be rebellious, fun and unique for customers.

The Midtown spot will be the third Riot Room location and the first outside the state of Texas. The first location opened in 2023 in Fort Worth, and the Riot Room website advertises a location set to open soon in Houston. That location is slated to open in the fall, according to reporting by What Now Houston.

The Nashville location is expected to follow. However, there have been no details released regarding the progress of the Midtown project or the timeline for opening.

The Riot Room menu is structured around Southern comfort, featuring dishes like buttery biscuits, grilled cheese, burgers, catfish fingers and fried pickles. Its drink selection features both specialty cocktails and beers.

What Now Nashville has reached out to the owners for more information on their plans and timeline but has yet to receive a response. Stay tuned for updates on this upcoming location.
