California staple In-N-Out Burger is looking into a Mt. Juliet location, expressing interest in an area to the northeast of the Golden Bear Gateway and Interstate 40 intersection. The area is across from a recently opened Costco Wholesale.

While the location is still in the works and will need approval from the Mt. Juliet planning commission, the site would add to the growing list of In-N-Out locations announced throughout the Middle Tennessee area.

In-N-Out first announced plans for expansion into the region in 2023, starting with a 100,000-square-foot corporate hub in Franklin, with plans to open in 2026.

The chain has also announced plans for locations in Antioch, Goodlettsville and Lebanon. As of now, all the planned locations are in pre-development stages with construction yet to start.

Since its opening in 1948, the beloved West Coast burger chain currently has more than 400 locations across seven states. In-N-Out is known for its classic burgers, fries and shakes, as well as its secret menu, including animal-style fries. The new expansion into Tennessee will be the easternmost locations for the chain.

The Tennessee sites are expected to start opening in 2026.
