With Dos Santos opening its first location at 475 Gray St. #102 on Dec. 13, the Colorado-based Mexican restaurant is planning to expand in the coming years in the market.
Brothers Jason and Kris Wallenta and Jason’s wife, Riley O’Brien, launched the brand in 2015 and have since expanded to three locations in Colorado. Following this week’s opening in Wedgewood-Houston, they hope to expand further in the Nashville area, targeting neighborhoods like East Nashville and West Nashville, Jason told the Nashville Business Journal. However, there are no precise locations shared as of yet.
“We want to create a great name for ourselves and refine our business and hopefully it’s going so well we have no choice but to expand,” Jason told the Business Journal.
Customers can expect expansion potentially in 2026 and beyond.
Dos Santos serves Yucatan cuisine, focusing on a variety of taco offerings, as well as a beverage program of margaritas, beer and wine. The WeHo location also features a raw bar.
“We looked at a couple of other markets and were just like ‘hey, Nashville’s where it’s at’,” Jason told the Business Journal. “We love the friendliness for business here. It’s an amazing market for entrepreneurs, small business owners.”
