Monkish Brewing has secured space inside of the remodeled Echo Exchange on Sunset Boulevard. There is signage up that says MONKISH, LLC next to Stereoscope Coffee, and it is estimated to open in around 6 to 8 months, according to one user’s post in a thread on BeerAdvocate.

Monkish is a small brewery based out of Torrance, where they also have a tasting room that features food trucks throughout the week. They also have a beer garden in Anaheim. Their brews mainly include hoppy varieties like IPAs and double IPAs, as well as “Belgian-ish” beers (like blondes and tripels), plus a few other offerings.

The brewery is owned by husband-and-wife team Henry and Adriana Nguyen. They first opened their doors in 2012 without the help of any investors, and have become known for their IPAs.

The Nguyens could not immediately be reached for comment about the new location.
