IKEA U.S. announce an expansion in the Los Angeles market with three new-format stores. The IKEA Santa Monica Pick-up point and IKEA Ontario Plan & order point with Pick-up are now open, and a third customer meeting point, IKEA Thousand Oaks Plan and order point with Pick-up, will open its doors in Spring 2025. These new locations, in addition to the two recent openings in Laguna Hills and Arcadia, allow IKEA to better meet the needs of our Los Angeles customers, with the aim of being more affordable, accessible and convenient for the many people.

The three new customer meeting points will bring the total number of IKEA locations to nine in the Los Angeles metro area. This expansion in the Los Angeles market is a part of the $2.2+ billion investment in the company’s omnichannel growth strategy in the United States.

The Santa Monica Pick-up point offers a seamless blend of online and offline shopping enabling customers to place any order in store or on IKEA.com/us and pick it up for free the next day. This location also offers the full range of IKEA services with the support of our home furnishing experts, including delivery, assembly, and financing.
At both IKEA Ontario and Thousand Oaks Plan & order points with Pick-up locations, customers can get support from IKEA experts for home furnishing solutions that require a bit more help – such as kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. These personalized shopping experiences are in addition to the full range of IKEA services, including free next-day pick-up for online orders.
The new store locations include:
- IKEA Santa Monica Pick-up point – Now open and celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony on February 24 and is located at 3017 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90403
- IKEA Ontario Plan & order point with Pick-up – Now open and will celebrate with a ribbon cutting ceremony on February 28 at 11 a.m. PST and is located at 4150 E. 4th St., Suite E, Ontario, CA 91764
- IKEA Thousand Oaks Plan & order point with Pick-up – Opens Spring 2025 and is located at 60 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360
