They will join several other businesses coming to the 20-acre project includes 90,000 square feet of retail space. Fly Kid Fly is expected to open in Spring 2024.
The development recently broke ground and is expected to open completely by next year. Other eateries coming to the development include First Watch, Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Honeysuckle Gelato, and Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen. Currently, the only restaurant operating in the area is Walnut Grill, along with a handful of Food Trucks. When completed, the project will have a 6-acre park, two apartment towers, and an amphitheater.
The Durban Group is a Charlotte-based consultant that is responsible for several companies, including Durban Development, Suffolk Punch Brewing, The Suffolk Punch, Ivy Citizens, and others. Joining them in this new venture is HEX Coffee Roasters, a stylish coffee bar inside Good Bottle Company in Camp North End. The company focuses on pour-overs, cold brews, espresso, and baked goods.
