Jacksonville seems to have named the unofficial “Bold City Brew” with Southern Grounds coffee. Now, as tourists arrive and leave the city, they can grab a cup at the airport for a sip of one of the many “perks” that Jax offers.
The coffee company has already opened one location on Feb. 16 at the Jacksonville International Airport on Concourse A. Now, it is opening a second, which will be located in the pre-security center court. The new shop will open sometime in 2023, according to The Florida Times Union. The exact location is 2400 Yankee Clipper Drive.
Additionally, the post-security Concourse A shop will offer window-viewing seating.
Owner Mark Janasik opened his first shop in 2016 in Avondale and has since expanded into Neptune Beach and San Marco. More shops will be opening soon, according to the Times-Union.
The shops are known not only for their excellent coffee but for serving breakfast, brunch, soups, salads, hot and cold sandwiches, beer, and wine.
