The specialty one-stop-shop for Jamaican food brands, Island Flava Caribbean Grocery & Meat, is opening its second outpost this summer, owner Hasheah Moody confirms.
It opened its flagship 9 South Dixie Highway in St. Augustine last year. It carries all the popular Caribbean brands, focusing on Jamaican imports, from snacks to spices, canned goods and meats. Moody says she wanted to open the shop to bring harder-to-find imports that the big grocery chains in the area, like Publix and Rowe’s IGA Supermarket, tend not to carry.
