The Tex-Mex chain, Tijuana Flats, is looking to open its first location in Palm Coast this fall, franchisee Joe Jeffries confirms.

The new Palm Coast outpost recently started construction and anticipates opening around mid-September, Jeffries says. Founder Brian Wheeler opened its flagship in Winter Park in 1995. It now has over 120 locations predominantly in Florida as well as a few outposts in North Carolina, Indiana, Virginia and Illinois. It carries many Tex-Mex classics like burritos, tacos, flautas, and churros, as well as wings, chips with guacamole and salsa, nachos and more. It claims to use fresh ingredients and makes their sauces from scratch daily. It also has its own hot sauce line, called Smack My Ass & Call Me Sally, which bills itself as ranging from “sweet heat” to “full blown burns.” It also offers catering services.

“We’re excited to come to the Palm Coast area and connect with hospitals, churches and schools,” Jeffries tells What Now Jacksonville.

Make sure to check out the various deals it has to get the best bang for your buck. This includes but is not limited to its Tijuana Tuesdaze offering a deal of two tacos, chips and a drink for $6.99, Throwback Thursdaze offering a burrito or bowl, chips and a drink for $7.99 and Two for $20 Friday and Saturdays offering two entrees, two drinks and one starter for $20.
