Local restauranter Leo Keka is ready to open his newest venture, Scutari and is eyeing a Braintree address to be its official landing spot at 589 Granite St.

The news of the upcoming Italian restaurant comes after a posting by the The Patriot Ledger that details that the proposed spot will function similarly to Keka’s beloved Alba, an Italian-inspired steakhouse concept that offers a full bar, private dining, a lounge, function rooms and a seasonal roof deck in Quincy.

The Braintree space that Keka is currently pursuing was formerly occupied by Dunkin’ Donuts University, and if everything goes according to plan, Scutari could open its doors by spring 2024.

Alongside Alba, Keka currently operates Zef Cicchetti & Raw Bar, another Quincy hotspot with a menu of innovative and eminently shareable small plates, entrees and raw bar offerings.

What Now Boston has connected with Keka and is awaiting an official comment regarding an official opening timeline for Scutari. This article will be updated as details continue to emerge.
