A Groveland-based Mexican restaurant and sports bar is bringing its authentic flavors to two more Massachusetts towns.

Tecate Corona Mexican Kitchen & Sports Bar is preparing to open new locations at 390 Court Street in North Plymouth and 304 Lincoln Avenue, Unit 3 in Saugus, according to recent social media announcements from the business. The expansion follows the success of its original Groveland restaurant, which opened in August 2025.

“We are excited to announce that TECATE CORONA IS EXPANDING!” the team shared on Facebook. “Thanks to the incredible love and support from our Groveland community, we’re proud to bring our authentic Mexican flavors and family traditions to TWO NEW LOCATIONS! ❤️“

At the new restaurants, diners can expect a menu of traditional Mexican favorites, including burritos, fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, and seafood dishes. Guests can also stop in for drinks, with a full bar offering house-made margaritas, an impressive selection of Mexican beers, and signature cocktails.

For owner Kevin Lopez de Leon, the restaurant is about more than just good food. It’s also a way to celebrate his family’s heritage and the recipes passed down through generations.

“Located in Groveland, MA, [Tecate Corona] is a celebration of authentic Mexican cuisine, bringing spicy and bold flavors to the Groveland community,” reads the restaurant’s website. “From the simplest appetizers to the most elaborate dishes, these flavors reflect Kevin Leon’s cultural heritage and culinary passion. As owner of Tecate Corona, Kevin honors his mother, Magdalena de Leon, whose traditions and recipes inspire the restaurant’s commitment to true Mexican flavor.”

A recent Facebook post offers a first look at the upcoming Saugus restaurant, showcasing colorful Mexican murals, vibrant decor, and a brand-new bar. The Plymouth location features a similarly lively design, with bright red and yellow walls, artwork depicting Frida Kahlo, and an expansive bar.

Additionally, recently filed permits for the Plymouth restaurant reveal that the space will span approximately 2,350 square feet, feature 70 indoor seats, and operate Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m., with Sunday hours beginning at 10 a.m.

Neither restaurant has an official grand opening date just yet, though the team says announcements are coming soon. In the meantime, both locations are hiring line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, servers, and bartenders. Those interested in joining the team can call or text Kevin at 708-901-0948 or email [email protected].
