The Townshend in Quincy, situated within The Galleria at Presidents Place at 1250 Hancock St, has just closed its doors to undergo renovations and usher in a new concept, slated to reopen in February. Although the specifics of this concept are currently unclear, the restaurant shared its plans in a recent Instagram post:
We will be closing with a goal to renovate and introduce a fresh concept that will continue to add to Quincy Centers’ independent and vibrant restaurant scene. You can expect the same hospitality focused team to be stirring your old fashioned, recommending a great bottle of wine with your dinner and making sure your experience is all around top notch! Most of all you can expect to feel like the family that you have all become over all these years.
Founded by Devin Adams in the spring of 2015, The Townshend has been a hub for modern American cuisine and inventive cocktails since its inception. It stands as the elder sibling to two other local establishments: Pearl & Lime, a Latin-leaning kitchen and cocktail bar, and Red Sky Hull, a Coastal New England eatery that operates during the spring and summer months at Steamboat Wharf Marina.
While the extent of the renovations and details about the forthcoming concept remain undisclosed, Adams assured What Now Memphis that more information will be shared early next week. Stay tuned for further updates as the restaurant navigates this period of transformation, promising a revitalized dining experience in the heart of Quincy Center.
I’m always amazed at the quality of your writing. This post was no exception. Fantastic job!
