A new spot for Korean fried chicken may be headed to Somerville’s Union Square.
According to Boston Restaurant Talk, K-Bok Korean Fried Chicken is eyeing the former Cantina La Mexicana space at 249 Washington St. Recent business filings and details from a licensing commission page confirm these plans.
Owner Yajaira Casserly aims to offer “high-quality Korean fried chicken, along with side dishes, desserts, and all forms of alcohol to accompany the food.”
The proposed eatery would seat 50 guests and plans to operate seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
What Now Boston has reached out to Casserly for further details and will provide updates as they become available.
